A US Military veteran who plotted a terror attack against “multiple targets” across Southern California was nabbed by authorities on Monday, according to a report.
The vet, who has not yet been identified publicly, was arrested by the FBI as part of an online sting operation on domestic terrorism charges, sources told The Los Angeles Times.
“It sounds like he tried to connect with other like-minded folks online,” one anonymous source said.
The man had converted to Islam, but it wasn’t known if that was related to the plot, the sources said.
The arrest comes less than 48 hours after an anti-Semitic gunman opened fire inside a San Diego synagogue, killing a woman and wounding three other congregants.
