THIS is the hilarious moment police arresting a rowdy drunk were helped by a charity fundraiser dressed – as SUPERMAN.
Saleem Syed, 39, was wearing the the iconic blue with red pants and cape to help raise money for a project which supports people with mobility problems.
He was collecting cash around in Norwich when police arrived at the Inns pub to arrest a man on suspicion of anti-social behaviour.
But then the man became aggressive towards the police officers, Saleem stepped in, and helped calm the situation.
He said: "Police arrived to arrest a drunk and disorderly man. There was several officers that attended to get him in the van and take him away."
"I could see he was getting more aggressive. I just helped to calm him down.
"I was talking to him and telling him to be quiet as there was children about. I was just trying to calm him down and to stop being so aggressive."
Saleem said he was "in the right place at the right time, and praised the efforts of Norwich Police.
He continued: "They were so professional.
"You hear so many bad things about the police but what I saw was just amazing.
"They really did have his welfare at heart."
The pictures were taken by local comedian Pete Butler, who wrote on Twitter: "Amazing scenes in Norwich today as superman helps @NorwichPoliceUK arrest a bad guy."
