Oops! Pregnant Jessica Simpson posed for a pic with her toilet seat lid — after accidentally breaking it off.
“Warning… Don’t lean back on the toilet when pregnant,” the fashion designer, 38, captioned the Tuesday, February 12, Instagram pic. In the hilarious shot, the Dukes of Hazard actress covered her baby bump with the lid, her comfy pants and Fendi slides sticking out below.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards commented, “I think I should post a photo of my pregnant self in honor of you.”
And she did! In the throwback Opens a New Window. , the reality star, 50, stood with a smile in a white bra and underwear set. “Following @ jessicasimpson & feeling her pregnancy pain,” Richards wrote. “This is in honor of you Jessica.”
That wasn’t the only pregnancy update Simpson gave her fans on social media that day. Just a couple hours before the toilet seat shot, the singer cradled her baby bump in the same outfit, giving the camera a thumbs up. “Severe pregnancy acid reflux has led to the purchase of my very own sleep recliner,” she captioned the funny photo.
Simpson announced in September 2018 that she and her husband, Eric Johnson, are expecting their fourth child. The couple, who tied the knot in 2014, already share daughter Maxwell, 6, and son Ace, 5, and they both made an appearance in the Instagram reveal.
“This little baby girl will make us a family of five,” the actress captioned a picture of her kids with pink balloons. “We couldn’t be happier to announce this precious blessing of life.”
Her third pregnancy has not been an easy one. In addition to acid reflux and broken toilet seats, Simpson has opened up about swollen feet, sciatica pain and bronchitis — but her younger sister, Ashlee Simpson, told Us Weekly that she’s handling it well.
“I’m so proud of her for being open,” the Ashlee and Evan star, 34, said on Thursday, February 7. “It’s not always easy, so I think being open about that is great. … She’s tough. We’re talking about Jessica.”
