Fresh Prince’s Alfonso Ribeiro sues Fortnite over trademark Carlton dance

Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star Alfonso Ribeiro is taking Fortnite creator Epic Games to court over the unauthorised use of his dance moves.

Fortnite has a number of "emotes" that allow your character to dance or goad other players in the game. The allegedly infringing move, called "Fresh", costs 800 V-Bucks or around £6.40.

Ribeiro made the "Carlton Dance" famous during his time on the US TV show. Most notably in season 3, episode 10 "Asses to Ashes", where the loveable geek is caught dancing to Tom Jones with incredible enthusiasm.
