‘We’re not going to crumble’: Draymond Green, Kevin Durant moving forward after argument

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green and fellow All-Star teammate Kevin Durant talked, and Green said he wants to put their issue in the past following the confrontation that threatens the stability and trajectory of the back-to-back defending champions.

“Kevin and I spoke,” Green told reporters at Thursday’s shootaround ahead of a game against Houston. “We're moving forward. There’s no secret I am an emotional player. I wear my emotions on my sleeve. I play with that same emotion. Sometimes, it gets the best of me, and it doesn’t work to my favor. I’m going to with live that because it works in my favor to the good. … I’m never going to change who I am. I’m going to approach the game the same way that I always do, and like I say, we’ll continue to move forward."

Green did not say whether or not he apologized.

The Warriors suspended Green one game without pay following the verbal altercation between the two players that began near the end of Golden State’s overtime loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday and carried into the locker room. Green’s decision to grab a rebound and not immediately pass the ball to Durant led to Durant’s frustration, which led to Green’s outburst.
