Eric Clapton has shared via Apple Music, a claymation video for his cover of “White Christmas,” which is featured on his new album Happy Xmas, which was released on October 12.
The video narrates a story of a young blues fanatic visiting a blues giant and dreaming of getting a guitar for Christmas.
Happy Xmas, which Clapton co-produced with Simon Climie, is his first full-length Christmas album. It topped Billboard‘s Holiday Albums Chart soon after its release last month. The album is comprised of festive songs such as “Away In A Manger” and “Silent Night,” in addition to some lesser-known seasonal tunes and a new track “For Love On Christmas Day.” It also features a version of “Jingle Bells” that has been dedicated to the memory of Avicii.
Clapton said recently that he loves Christmas for “Snow, a roaring fire, a few chestnuts knocking about and a huge turkey,” and added “My wife is an incredible cook, so she will lay on the best Christmas lunch. All the classic things.”
