Insiders say Katie, 40, and Kris, 29, had a row about her ‘texting other men’ and she took to social media to try and win him back.
A source told The Sun Online: “Katie and Kris are back on, but he says it’s hard to trust her because she admitted cheating on him before.
“That means if she’s on her phone too much he gets suspicious and they start to bicker.
“Katie could just be messaging a friend, but given what they’ve gone through, it’s hard for him to trust her.
“After the row at the weekend, Katie wanted to prove, publicly, to Kris what he meant to her.”
Katie posted several emotional quotes to Instagram, asking Kris – who wasn’t named – to marry her.
"I wanna marry you because you’re the first person I wanna look at when I wake up in the morning, and the only one I wanna kiss goodnight,” read one post.
“Because the first time that I saw these hands, I couldn’t imagine not being able to hold them. But mainly, when you love someone as much as I love you, getting married is the only thing left to do. So, will you, um, marry me? Definitely. Maybe.”
Another said: “If I can’t have you, I can’t have anybody. You’re still the only one I want and nobody will ever compare or replace you. I’m sorry.”
She captioned it: “This man knows who he is and this is my last chance.”
On the one-off special of her reality show, My Crazy Life, viewers saw her apologise to Kris for cheating on him with Alex Adderson.
"We was getting on really well until I was a c*** and my head got turned,” she told him.
However, she then added: "I went with some other guy – not that I regretted going with the other guy because that's something I needed to do in my life."
"That don't make sense," Kris replied. "What do you mean you don't regret it?"
Katie then reasoned: "What can I do? It's part of my life. I can't say I regret being with Peter, I can't say I regret being with Kieran, because I got kids out of it."
"You can say you regret f***ing up a perfect relationship," grumbled Kris.
"Yeah I did f*** it up but at the time it wasn't perfect," Katie replied matter-of-factly. "I can't change what happened. It happened for a reason and it made me realise what I'd lost."
