Love Island’s Jack quits his day job and teases ‘opportunities’ in TV with Dani

Love Island winner Jack Fincham has finally quit his day job at a stationary company – as he has “lovely opportunities” in TV and elsewhere.

Appearing on stage with girlfriend Dani Dyer he got together with on the ITV2 show, the pair said they had been inundated with requests and offers.

Dani said when they left Love Island, Jack had talked about returning to his day job at DMG Office Supplies “in a week” but Jack then confirmed he would no longer be returning.

Shaking his head, Jack said: “Pens will always have a special place in my part but I haven’t been back since, my desk is empty. I will stay in touch with the boys though.”

Jack has been earning thousands and thousands of pounds from nightclub appearances.

But he said there was not much work involved in them, adding: “You just pretty much go to the nightclub and you take some photos and you go home, I would like to say there is more to it, but there is not.”

Dani and Jack did not confirm if they have a new TV show with ITV, which has been rumoured, but said: “We have had so many lovely opportunities.”

Paul Mortimer, ITV’s head of digital channels and acquisitions and Angela Jain, managing director of ITV Studios Entertainment also appeared for a Love Island masterclass along with the programme narrator Iain Stirling, who is acting as chairman.

Jain said the casting process for Love Island will begin in the new year and is a “six month process” she described it as “exhaustive”.

On the producers being accused of manipulation and providing Love Island contestants will meals and clothes, Paul Mortimer said: “It’s not fakery at all, its the hand of the producer. Of course it has got the hand of producer, we are making a TV show.”

The voice of the show, Iain Stirling added: “If you left twentysomethings to their own devices they would just lie by the pool. ‘Do you want to couple up? Nah, I’m getting a tan’.”
