Megan Barton Hanson makes quick recovery from kidney infection to put on united front with Wes Nelson at NTAs after Dancing On Ice row

The 24-year-old star attended the ceremony with her Dancing On Ice beau and looked tip top – despite her recent illness.

Megan, who was embroiled in a row with Wes's professional partner last week, looked nothing short of sensational.

She wore a glitzy black gown that featured mesh detailing and a plunging, sweetheart neckline.

Megan ditched her coat for the freezing red carpet and revealed plenty of flesh – at one point grabbing her boobs and holding them in place.

Wes, 20, looked equally suave in a velvet dinner jacket and polo neck jumper.

Viewers were left puzzled on Sunday when Megan didn't show up to support Wes days after she furiously hitting out at his professional skating partner, Vanessa Bauer, for "refusing to look her in the eye" at the show the weekend before.

Though Megan insisted her absence was down to illness, rumours are rife that they had a furious row over Vanessa and that was the reason Megan failed to show.

A backstage source exclusively told The Sun Online: "It’s the talk of backstage – everyone is gossiping about Wes and Megan.

"The rumour backstage is that they had a blazing row on Sunday about how close he is to Vanessa and that’s why she didn’t turn up.

"Wes has no idea that all the skaters and backstage staff are talking about him, but it’s the big gossip on set.

"Because of Megan’s comments about Vanessa, she’s not popular backstage and so any rumours about her and Wes tend to get around quite quickly."

Wes explained Megan's absence and said she had an illness that meant she couldn't attend the live shows.

Wes, who got the highest scores of the evening, revealed why Megan wasn't there to watch him as he shared an old picture of them hugging.

He told fans: "Shattered now. Can't wait to get back to Megan. She's been so unwell today, make sure you send her a kind message."

Instead Wes' Love Island pals Adam Collard and Sam Bird were there to support him.
