Jeff Brazier's wife Kate shares heartfelt speech by stepsons at her wedding

Jeff and Kate got married in Portugal in September, and Jeff's children with the late Jade Goody acted as best men.

Bobby, 15, and Freddie, 14, lost their mum to cervical cancer in 2009, and in a new Instagram post Kate opened up about life as a stepmum.

In a throwback photo from her wedding day, Kate can be seen smiling at the head table as Jeff's sons prepare to deliver their best man's speech.

The brunette beauty spoke candidly as she captioned the photo, writing: "Because all my #tbts are wedding ones.

"There are good days and bad days and in all honesty I am still learning to be better every single day of this #stepmum journey.

"But, this was without a doubt the single most special moment of my life with these boys so far.

"The only opinions that matter are theirs and to see them stand up and tell everyone that I am getting it right (most of the time) was nothing short of life affirming for me.

"What an absolute honour."

Jeff previously admitted that his children were desperate for a mother figure, with him raising them on his own since they were young.

He praised Kate for stepping up to the role, telling The Mirror: "Kate's a wonderful woman. She’s got a great relationship with the boys. Freddie is hell-bent on having a stepmum, it really means a lot to him.

"There was a lot of pressure on Kate but she's done a great job."

Speaking about the boys' wedding speeches, which meant so much to Kate, Jeff added: "They are so excited and have already been working on their speeches. It's going to be the most emotional moment I've ever experienced.

"It will be a recognition of everything we've been through and how strong we are now."

Jeff began dating late reality star Jade in 2002, with the pair splitting two years later – shortly after Freddie's birth.

He gained full custody of the boys after Jade's passing nine years ago, and started dating Kate in 2013.

The pair got engaged in Ibiza in 2017 before tying the knot in September.

In an interview with Hello! Jeff said: "This isn't just any wedding, this is a really special one.

"It doesn't just represent Kate and I putting rings on each other's fingers. It represents the fact that we won at something really tricky. We won at becoming a family."

He added: "Before it was just three boys rattling around in a house on our own, trying to get through life. Then Kate came along and worked so hard at making us complete."
