Celebrity Big Brother floor plan: All the secret spots in the house, revealed

Each year we wait to see what Celebrity Big Brother‘s latest makeover has done to the Elstree building – we mean, it has gone through quite the number of transformations over the years.

But have you ever stopped to wonder where all of the rooms actually sit in relation to each other?

Where are all the secret corners? The places that see all the drama? We’re here to reveal all the secrets from inside the most famous house in Britain.

Digital Spy was lucky enough to be one of a very select handful of guests to see the brand spanking new Celebrity Big Brother house before anyone else. And while we were at it, we got our hands on a floor plan so that you can really get a sense of what it’s like in there.

After making your entrance down those famous steps – FYI, that winding staircase you see the celebs climbing on launch night is very rickety – you’re brought right into the main living area.

This space has the dining table (circular, this year) and the kitchen.

This room feels so much smaller than it appears on the television – plus, there’s a hell of a lot of lighting, which means it gets very hot in there.

And when the blinds to the garden are down, it can feel a teeny bit claustrophobic for those that don’t like enclosed spaces. But we guess that’s one of the things you sign up for…

The store cupboard is in a small box room just left of the entrance door, and the bedroom is to the right through another door.

Directly through that room is the entrance to the garden, which has a pool (that is heated) and some sun loungers.

There’s also a very noticeable camera right next to the jacuzzi – it has its own podium and everything – so any saucy water behaviour (we’re looking at you, Makosi Musambasi!) won’t be missed.

This year, there’s a separate living room area that’s only accessible through the garden.

The Diary Room is back in the main house, through a door to the left of the garden. It has its very own hallway (covered in trendy neon wall signs this year) and another door to get to The Chair.

This extra divide between the confession room and the communal area is probably needed, because you can actually hear conversation from outside the Diary Room door. Imagine the carnage that would ensue if you could hear yourself being nominated…

One of the main details that struck us when walking around the house is how visible the cameras are. They are absolutely everywhere, and it’s hard to imagine that you’d forget about them easily.

What’s more, there are mirror-style panels in the walls which clearly allow producers to see into the house (although when inside, you cannot see out).

BBBOTS host and Big Brother super-fan Rylan Clark-Neal has said that he loves to walk the hidden corridors around the house to see what the housemates are up to. We want that job!

Celebrity Big Brother airs on Channel 5.
