Ex-Barcelona star Arda Turan admits argument but denies aspects of reports he ‘broke singer’s nose then later apologised at hospital while brandishing a gun’

The Barcelona midfielder, who is on loan with İstanbul Basaksehir, said the nightclub "argument" was "not about honour and purity as reported".

The Turkey star was responding on Instagram to amazing allegations that began with him reportedly approaching Berkay's wife.

He was said to have told her: "If I was not married, I wouldn't miss a girl like you."

Reports say Berkay then went up to confront the 31-year-old, who has 100 caps.

It is claimed the singer sent his wife home so he could "talk man to man" with Turan.

Former Atletico Madrid ace Turan is then said to have broken Berkay's nose by punching him.

Turan later allegedly went to a hospital with a gun, telling Berkay: "I didn't know she is your wife. I'm sorry, just kill me."

But Turan has spoken out, denying parts of the story.

He said on Instagram: "I would like to make a statement about the news in the papers.

"There was an argument on my day off at the place that I went with my friends, but the reason is not about honour and purity as reported.

"It is not possible to be that way."

Turan was also involved in a huge controversy ON the pitch, following his arrival on loan from Barca in January.

The ex-Galatasaray hero was banned for 16 games in May after earning a red card for shoving and verbally abusing an assistant referee during a costly 1-1 draw with Sivaspor.

The suspension was eventually cut to ten matches.
