Arsenal star Lucas Torreira snapped in PSG shirt… but Gunners fans should not be too worried

The Uruguay international has emerged as a fan favourite following his sensational start to life with the Gunners.

Torreira raised a few concerns when he uploaded a photograph of himself wearing a PSG top to his Instagram page.

But the 22-year-old revealed that the basketball vest was a gift from international team-mate Edinson Cavani.

The new kit is a collaboration with Jordan and the French club have donned it in the Champions League this season.

The merchandise has been hugely popular and are sold out in most stores, which explain Torreira's smile in the snap.

But the Gunners star reassured fans before the international break that he is happy with life in north London.

He said: "I am extremely proud to be at Arsenal and hopefully we can enjoy many things together. It's a great challenge a new challenge for me.

"I'm the kind of person who likes to fight for these things, to always be fighting my way up, like my dad always tells me. I am so happy.

"I'm getting to know London and taking on the challenge of learning English so I can communicate with my team-mates.

"That's something that's not only important for football but also for life.

"The important thing now is to continue growing and to continue showing this."

Torreira, who joined Arsenal from Sampdoria in July, was praised by fans for what he did to Neymar during the clash against Brazil last week.

And he will be swapping the PSG top for his Arsenal jersey when the Gunners face Bournemouth tomorrow.
