It feels like only one month and six days ago it was reported on this very site, that Eddie Murphy, is expecting his tenth child to be born. Well, for those of us that wish this site was dedicated to Axel Foley and streamed the Axel F theme 24/7 (AKA “theme to the hamster wheel that is my brain“), here is some more exciting news! Eddie Murphy’s balance of babies born to his wives versus babies born to Spice Girls and other flings is about to tip the scales. People reports that Eddie and his pregnant girlfriend, Australian actress person Paige Butcher, are now engaged to be married.

Eddie Murphy is preparing to tie the knot.
On Friday, a rep for the actor confirmed the happy news to PEOPLE.
The 57-year-old actor’s partner, Paige Butcher, was seen sporting a large diamond ring while running errands in Los Angeles on Thursday. Butcher, 39, is pregnant with the couple’s second child — and Murphy’s tenth.
Paige was photographed rocking a big finger handcuff (that’s what most people call engagement rings, right?) and shopping for a rug at HomeGoods. Hopefully she isn’t planning to roll Eddie up inside of the rug and beat him with a broom (a la Willie Nelson‘s first wife) until he declares with mercy that he won’t make her sign a prenup. No, I think she’s just doing a little peaceful nesting in anticipation of her domestic bliss with the man, the myth, the legend… Donkey from Shrek! The honor of marrying Eddie Murphy alone is worth it’s weight in gold – no prenup necessary! Amiright? Crickets. Crickets.
Eddie and Paige already have a two year old daughter named Izzy Oona. Eddie was married before to Nicole Murphy. Paige is 18 years younger than Eddie, and she’s ten years older than Eddie’s oldest child. The laws of Hollywood mathematics proves that these are totally reasonable statistics for a long and healthy relationship. But the pair have already been together for six years, so computing that data into the equation, they are anywhere from two years past expiration to having a few more good years ahead of them. Place your bets! The good news is that they already have all the built in babysitters they need in Eddie’s eight older children, and that is half the battle of being a 57-year-old grandpa with a newborn and a toddler (just add naps and occasional yelling).
