CARRIE Symonds has had a unique experience with politics as she is married to former Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.
Together, they've had two children and are expecting their third. Here's what we know about the pair's relationship.
Who is Carrie Symonds?
Carrie Johnson (commonly known by her maiden name Symonds) was born on March 17, 1988 in London, England.
Carrie is a communications and PR expert and worked for the Conservative Campaign Headquarters (CCHQ) until 2018.
She was born to Matthew Symonds, one of the founders of The Independent and Josephine Mcaffee who was one of the paper's lawyers.
Carrie grew up in EAST Sheen, South West London and attended the Godolphin and Latymer School in Hammersmith.
When did Boris Johnson and Carrie Symonds get married?
The couple confirmed their relationship when she supported Boris' leadership bid in June 2019.
They later got married on May 29, 2021 at Westminster Cathedral only 1.5 miles away from their home in Downing Street.
Little is known about the service itself – although we do know the PM's father Stanley attended.
Their then one-year-old son Wilfred even attended the ceremony – along with two official witnesses.
How many children do Carrie and Boris Johnson have?
The couple have three children with their latest addition arriving on July 5th, 2023.
The couple named him Frank Alfred Odysseus Johnson.
The couple announced his birth on Carrie's Instagram account captioning the post:
"A week of Frankie"
"Welcome to the world Frank Alfred Odysseus Johnson born 5th July at 9:15am"
"(Can you guess which name my husband chose?!)".
This the couple's third child together.
Their first child Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas was born in 2020 and their second child, a daughter, Romy was born in 2021.
Frank is the couple's third child and Boris' eighth in total.
The latest was Carrie and Boris' second child, and the Prime Minister's seventh in total.
They had announced their were expecting their third child earlier this year.
Boris has four children with his ex-wife Marina Wheeler, two sons Milo and Theodore, and two daughters Lara and Cassia.
He also has another daughter Stephanie after he had an affair with art consultant Helen Macintyre.
What is Carrie Symonds' job?
Carrie previously worked as a senior adviser at Oceana, which supports the Bloomberg Foundation’s Vibrant Oceans Initiative.
Her role involved being part of international marketing communications team based in London.
However, in January 2021, she joined animal rights charity The Aspinall Foundation as its head of communications.
