UK outlook for Sunday 28 Oct 2018 to Tuesday 6 Nov 2018

A COLD arctic airflow with a good deal of sunshine will prevail across the UK by Sunday, bringing some heavy showers mainly around eastern coastal areas. The weather will feel bitter in exposed areas and could bring hail and thunder, with snow showers over higher ground in the north.

Lower forecast confidence by Monday, but a dry and bright day is most likely in many areas with showers continuing in the east. Expect widespread frost overnight.

The weather  could be increasingly unsettled from Tuesday, with showers or longer spells of rain amid brighter periods.

Milder, unsettled conditions are likely to dominate until the end of the period with temperatures beginning to recover to around normal by Friday. Gales or severe gales can be expected.
