In one vile post believed to be referring to Meghan Markle, one user wrote: "How dare the arrogant BRF [British Royal Family] threaten me, a US citizen, with possible police if I express disgust for that narcissistic skank?"
Writing on the JerseyDeanne.com website, the New York user added: "Will they deny me a visitor’s visa next! Maybe the UK IS ready for a republic, cuz this set of stupid royals just trampled all over its subjects. Disgusting. The queen has lost her moxy."
Another added "My God how dare they. Words fail me I too am angry. The Royal Family are finished."
In the wake of the rumoured 'rift' between Kate and Meghan the Royal Family announced it was cracking down on abusive trolls on Monday.
Although neither Meghan nor Kate have their own social media accounts, the abuse began circulating among their fans, with rival camps pitting the two women against each other on a daily basis.
And while Meghan has been subjected to a wave of abuse for cradling her baby bump in recent months, the Duchess of Cambridge was dubbed "Kate Wrinkleton" towards the end of last year by trolls who said royal life has taken its toll on her appearance.
Meghan’s critics have been especially vocal, even accusing her of faking her pregnancy.
The Twitter hashtag #Megxit attracts legions who want Prince Harry to divorce his pregnant wife of less than a year.
Disturbed by the vitriol posted on the Royal Family’s own social media pages, Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace and Clarence House announced new "content" guidelines earlier this week.
"We ask that anyone engaging with our social media channels shows courtesy, kindness and respect for all other members of our social media communities,” the Royal statement read.
Kensington Palace aides had privately complained of spending hours each week deleting violent, sexist and racist comments aimed at Duchesses Meghan and Kate.
But the new guidelines were quickly met with derision by those who feel they have every right to make negative posts about the Royals.
Twitter user @BrooklynYenta posted: "I am thinking of starting a go fund me page for the megxiters. I am willing to fly to England and (VERBALLY only) confront the duchess of excess on a public outing about her hypocrisy."
Barbarella64 posted: "Meghans been in Harrys ear again – only explanation – wish he’d take his nuts back."
American blogger Veoniss Houston, who has also been critical of Duchess Meghan, raged: "Now they come up with this s**t? . . . I am officially livid, and annoyed."
Houston wondered why social media trolls attacking members of the Royal Family don’t get better protection, writing: "I want to see them go after the a**holes that threaten us, and other people because we don’t kiss her a**."
Another JerseyDeanne.com user asked why the Royal Family even had a social media presence, posting: "It’s so ridiculous. Sure they can block people … They could also get off social media, especially as it was mostly set up by punks who are publicly anti-monarchy anyway, why should they be on there?"
The Royal Family's social media team added: "We reserve the right to determine, at our discretion, whether contributions to our social media channels breach our guidelines.
"We reserve the right to hide or delete comments made on our channels as well as block users who do not follow these guidelines."
But while all social media interaction will be moderated independently of the platforms they appear on, Kensington Palace also "reserves the right to send any comments we deem appropriate to law enforcement authorities for investigation as we feel necessary or is required by law."
