Two men ‘left bleeding on the street’ after mass brawl in Luton

Two men were reportedly left bleeding in the street following a huge brawl in Luton.

Bedfordshire Police earlier said they were called to Saxon Road after receiving reports of a large number of people fighting.

They confirmed emergency services were at the scene and that some people had been taken to hospital after reports of stab wounds.

A man who works in a takeaway in the area said he saw two young men who were wounded. He said they were bleeding in a nearby road.

Nazmul Islam, who works at Grill Hut Peri Peri in nearby Biscot Road, told Mirror Online: "I saw two people who had been wounded.

"Some ambulances came and they were treated.

"Both of them were boys, about 18-20 years old.

"I saw that they were bleeding."

Mr Islam said he saw the young men on Biscot Road, which is adjacent to Saxon Road.

He added that there were about 10 people around who had come to see what had happened.

Bedfordshire Police tweeted: "We were called to Saxon Road in Luton after receiving reports of a large number of individuals fighting.

"Emergency services are at the scene and some people have been taken to hospital after reports of stab wounds.

"Anyone with info should call 101 quoting incident 299 of today."
