Trump reveals list of enemies including McConnell, 'psycho' Liz Cheney

EXCLUSIVE: Trump reveals his list of Republican enemies including Mitch McConnell, ‘psycho’ Liz Cheney, ‘stupid’ Pat Toomey, ‘weak’ Larry Hogan and ‘overrated general James Mattis’

  •  ‘She’s a psycho,’ Trump said of Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo.
  •  He said of Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan: ‘He’s useless . . . total, weak, stupid RINO . . . Has he looked in the mirror? That guy has zero chance’
  • Of North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr, who is retiring in 2022: ‘Lightweight and a stupid person’
  • Trump has been hyper-focused on attacking GOP Senate leader Mitch McConnell

Former President Trump reveals his Republican hit list as he rails against a number of his one-time close allies who he’s since fallen out with in a forthcoming book.

‘I don’t like everybody that’s a Republican,’ the former president said.

‘I don’t think a lot of the groups have done a good job,’ he added, according to ‘In Trump’s Shadow: The Battle for 2024 and the Future of the GOP,’ by political correspondent David Drucker.

‘She’s a psycho,’ Trump said of Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., calling her ‘Not the brightest person in the world.’

Trump said that retiring Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Pa., was ‘driven out of office because of his stupid, absolutely stupid stance on tariffs.’

He said of Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan: ‘He’s useless . . . total, weak, stupid RINO . . . Has he looked in the mirror? That guy has zero chance.’

And he said of Utah Republican Sen. Mitt Romney: ‘He’s very unpopular in his state right now. If he had an election, he couldn’t be elected dog catcher.’

Georgia governor Brian Kemp: ‘I did two rallies for him in Atlanta [in 2018] and he ended up winning, unfortunately.’

North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr, who is retiring in 2022: ‘Lightweight and a stupid person.’

Trump said of Gen. Jim Mattis, his first secretary of defense: ‘The world’s most overrated general. I beat ISIS after he was gone.’

Of his first attorney general, Jeff Session, Trump said:  ‘No good.’

Trump said former Nevada Sen. Dean Heller, who lost reelection in 2018, was ‘very negative to me.’  ‘Then at the end he came and kissed my ass, and I’d go out and do rallies for him. They’d have signs, “Sir. He’s not for you. He’s not for you.”‘

But Trump took particular aim at Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, mentioning him five times over the course of Drucker’s interview, even though Trump has the Kentucky Republican to thank for many of his legislative accomplishments.

Trump turned on McConnell after he refused to oppose certifying the 2020 election results, after then-Attorney General Bill Barr announced there was no credible evidence of widespread voter fraud.

The GOP leader had been instrumental in pushing through more than 200 of the former president’s nominees for lower federal courts to the bench, confirming three Supreme Court justices and negotiating the 2017 tax cuts.

The comments were reported in a book by Washington Examiner journalist David M. Drucker

Still, McConnell is a frequent target of Trump’s and last week found himself in the former president’s crosshairs after he made a deal with Democrats to increase the debt ceiling.

‘Republican Senators, do not vote for this terrible deal being pushed by folding Mitch McConnell. Stand strong for our Country. The American people are with you!’ Trump said ahead of the vote.

GOP senators and aides told The Hill that McConnell is one of the most staunchly opposed to Trump running for the presidency again in 2024.

McConnell has resisted any mention of the former president by name in public, however.

Over the weekend, Trump decried at an Iowa rally that Republicans don’t seem to show enough ‘spine.’

‘Congressional Republicans must stay strong. This isn’t the time for Republicans to fold, to walk away, to quit, to be afraid,’ he said.

‘Whatever happens, happens. Don’t worry about being impeached, don’t worry about anything…

‘But they just don’t seem to have the spine some of them.’
