Student gets restraining order against ex-teacher who sent ‘I love you’ texts

A Texas middle school student received a restraining order against a former teacher who allegedly would send him “I love you” texts, according to reports.

Vanessa Suarez-Arispe, who taught at Woodrow Wilson Elementary, was ordered in June to stay away from one of her former fifth-grade students and his family, the Denton Record-Chronicle reported.

The one-time teacher of the year reportedly bought a prepaid burner phone for the boy after she began tutoring him in September 2017.

She allegedly texted the number several times a day, sending messages such as “Good morning,” “Good night” and “I love you.”

The teacher also reportedly would contact the boy while he was in school and ask him to meet her after class.

His family also alleged that she engaged in “stalking” behavior, showing up at his house unannounced under the pretense of dropping off food, the Denton Record-Chronicle reported.

Suarez-Arispe resigned from her position at the elementary school after an investigation was opened into her alleged misconduct.

She didn’t respond to the Denton Record Chronicle’s request for comment.
