Porn star Sophie Anderson was allegedly beaten up by her footballer boyfriend just weeks before he and she both died, it emerged today.

News of the erotic actress’s death broke this morning – just two weeks after her partner former aspiring Crystal Palace footballer Oliver Spedding was found dead.

The couple had met on the set of a porn film and went on to work together as adult performers and share a home – but their relationship has been described as volatile.

Now MailOnline has learned that in the months leading up to the double tragedy, Spedding was arrested by police on suspicion of causing 36-year-old Sophie grievous bodily harm.

Anderson met former Crystal Palace player Spedding while working on the set of a film

The 34-year-old was detained on the M40 near High Wycombe after officers were called about Sophie being assaulted and injured.

He was arrested by Thames Valley police under investigation of GBH, false imprisonment and sending ‘indecent, obscene and menacing messages’ on September 11.

He was released on bail with a condition that he was not to contact her indirectly or indirectly, or post any information on social media related to the ongoing case.

He did breach this by posting news of his arrest on Facebook, before deleting the post soon afterwards.

He also made a fake announcement that Sophie had died as a malicious prank – but one that would prove eerily prophetic.

She later appeared to have reconciled with Spedding, posting about this period: ‘I know things have been put online and assumptions have been made but he’s not the bad one.’

She added: ‘His silly joke about me being dead was only because everyone keeps bombarding him with messages like he has hurt me and he never has done.

‘It was a stupid joke and he is sorry.’

Sophie, who had four children, was a prolific adult actress who claimed to have slept with tens of thousands of men, and previously flew to the US to have 32JJ silicone breast implants.

She had spent the last few months of her life repeatedly pleading for financial help from her hundreds of thousands of internet followers as she struggled with poor health brought about by a failed boob job.

In March last year, the actress, originally from Bristol but living in Slough, Berkshire, was left fighting for life with sepsis after one of her left breast implants became infected and later exploded.

This apparently left her in terrible pain and in a recent internet message to her 300,000 followers she said her mental state had been impaired by her health issues.

‘My mental state is f*****d. I don’t know if I’ll ever have my confidence back again. 

‘The pictures online is (sic) of me with my boobs from two years ago. Or I just take videos of just my face.

‘I feel lost, sad and I look at models with amazing super duper massive fake tits… and I cry.’

Outside of the adult film industry Anderson supported the LGBT+ community and raised money for HIV charities.

The heartbroken actress’ death was announced by her friend and fellow adult film star Rebecca More.

Rebecca More wrote on Instagram: ‘I’m devastated hearing the awful news of Sophie’s passing. We shared some amazing times together and that’s how I’m going to remember her’

Last summer pictures showed Oliver enjoying a holiday in Ibiza, before he posted a photo of himself injured as he revealed he had a fractured eye, fractured knee and had almost lost three of his fingers.

He also had lacerations to his face, and told fans the injuries were caused by an ‘accident’.

After his death, a minute’s silence was held before a game for Croydon, a team Spedding had also played for.

The Terrence Higgins Trust, a sexual health and HIV charity Sophie supported, posted on Tuesday: ‘We’re so sad to hear about the death of Sophie Anderson.

‘Sophie and Rebecca have done so much to support our work — taking on challenges to raise money and tackle HIV stigma.’

Anderson previously helped raise money for the trust and competed in charity events on their behalf.

BBC Drag Race UK’s Divina De Campo also shared: ‘So incredibly sad to hear of the passing of darling Sophie Anderson.

‘She was outrageous but she was also incredibly sweet and a continuous advocate for those in the LGBTQ+ community and her industry. A genuinely sweet soul. Rest in peace darling.’

One social media user said: ‘Sophie Anderson has passed away, I feel physically sick and shaken.

‘I adored Sophie, she was one of my biggest inspirations, she was truly one in a million. Rest In Power Queen.’

A second added on X: ‘RIP Sophie Anderson. The last few months of her life have clearly been so difficult.’

A third said: ‘She is going to be greatly missed and she was a huge supporter of LGBT people and we called her ‘The Queen of Memes’ as she was regularly posting uplifting videos.’
