TEMPERATURES will start to turn colder as more settled weather kicks in.
There will be an increased risk of overnight frost particularly in northern regions on Monday.
UK outlook for Wednesday December 12 to Saturday January 5
ON Wednesday, it will cloudy for most as rain moves eastwards.
Over the following days, there looks to be showers and longer spells of rain at times with the chance of snow over high ground.
Temperatures are expected to be near or slightly below average for the time of year but southern areas may be over average.
From December 22 and the Christmas period, showers and rain look to remain.
Settled and drier conditions will be over northern parts of the country.
However, New Year is likely to see the return to high pressure which brings more settled conditions.
