THE Duke of York whinged that Prince Albert of Monaco "gets to do whatever he wants but I get in trouble" while staying at Jeffry Epstein's mansion, it has been claimed.
Prince Andrew's comments were mentioned in emails between writer Evgeny Morozov and literary agent John Brockman, published by the New Republic magazine.
Brockman claims that Andrew – who has vehemently denied wrongdoing in relation to Epstein – then moaned about his public profile.
He said the Prince, 59, claimed: “In Monaco, Albert works 12 hours a day but at 9pm, when he goes out, he does whatever he wants, and nobody cares.
"But, if I do it, I’m in big trouble.”
Writer Morozov revealed that he that he had met Epstein – who killed himself in jail on August 10 while awaiting trial on child sex trafficking charges – calling him a “billionaire philanthropist”.
In the emails between Morozov and Brockman, dated 12 September 2013, the US literary agent recalls visiting Epstein at his £63million Manhattan pad and bumping into Prince Andrew.
He said: “Last time I visited his house (the largest private residence in NYC), I walked in to find him in a sweatsuit and a British guy in a suit with suspenders [braces], getting foot massages from two young well-dressed Russian women.
“After grilling me for a while about cyber-security, the Brit, named Andy, was commenting on the Swedish authorities and the charges against Julian Assange."
Brockman added: “I realised that the recipient of Irina’s foot massage was his Royal Highness, Prince Andrew, the Duke of York.”
It is not known when he claims to have seen Prince Andrew at Epstein’s house.
ANDREW 'APPALLED'
Buckingham Palace has previously said Andrew was "appalled" by recent revelations about Epstein, who he first met in the 1990s.
In a statement to the Guardian, which first reported the foot rub claims, it said: “Any suggestion of impropriety with underage minors is categorically untrue.”
Epstein’s alleged sex slave Virginia Roberts previously claimed in court papers that she was forced to sleep with Andrew when she was a teenager.
They were pictured together in 2001 at the house of Ghislaine Maxwell – the Brit socialite daughter of disgraced publishing tycoon Robert Maxwell.
Maxwell, 57, has been accused of being Epstein's "madam" procuring girls for him – allegations she denied before going into hiding.
Ms Roberts' claims against Andrew were later struck out of a court case after a judge deemed them "immaterial and impertinent".
Buckingham Palace has strenuously denied any allegations of wrongdoing linked to the duke’s relationship with Epstein.
It also denied there was “any form of sexual contact or relationship” between Andrew and Ms Roberts.
Who was Jeffrey Epstein and what was he accused of?
JEFFREY Epstein was a US financier who was convicted of soliciting an underage girl for prostitution in 2008.
He was arrested on July 6, 2019 for sex trafficking minors in Florida and New York.
Court documents allege that at least 40 underage girls were brought to Epstein’s mansions for sexual encounters.
He pleaded not guilty to child sex trafficking charges in New York and faced 45 years in prison if found guilty.
On July 18, a federal judge said that the disgraced financier presented a "danger to the community" and must stay in one of New York's toughest prisons while awaiting trial.
The shamed financier was locked up amid fears he would flee the country.
Epstein hanged himself on August 10 – just 12 days after being removed from suicide watch.
But questions remained over how he he managed to take his own life without being stopped by guards.
