Paedophile ex-England footballer Adam Johnson ‘to walk free from jail within THREE weeks’ after serving half his six-year sentence

  • Johnson, 31, was jailed in March 2016 for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl
  • It is believed that the former Sunderland player will return to his  £2million home
  • He was found guilty in 2016 for one count of sexual activity with a child and one count of grooming

Former England footballer Adam Johnson is to be released from jail in the next three weeks after serving only half of his six-year prison sentence. 

Johnson, 31,  who was jailed in March 2016 for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old school girl, is set to be released on March 22.

The former Sunderland player, who has spent only three years inside HMP Moorland, will reportedly return to his £2million seven-bedroom mansion in County Durham after he is released, The Sun has revealed.

A source told the paper that the footballer’s home, complete with a swimming pool and bowling alley, is ready for his arrival and that there was little chance in him resuming a relationship with his former girlfriend Stacey Flounders.

The source told the paper: ‘Everything is in place for Adam’s release now. He’s got his house sorted out to come back to which his sister is living in at the moment.

‘He knows high-level football is off the table because of his conviction, so he’s trying to work out what to do.

It is believed that Johnson will return to his £2million seven-bedroom mansion in County Durham

‘But it is not going to involve getting back with Stacey.’ 

It is believed that the footballer’s sister Faye Johson is currently residing inside the lavish property.  

On January 1 his sister tweeted that she was excited at the prospect of having her brother home in 2019.     

The premiership footballer was found guilty in 2016 for one count of sexual activity with a child and one count of grooming.

Following his arrest he was  stripped of his 12 England caps.
