One punch killer poses for Facebook pictures downing high-strength drink

A mum who killed a young man with one punch celebrated her release from jail by downing cans of high-strength drink Dragon Soop.

Kayleigh Murray was dubbed the Carry-out Killer after flooring dad-of-two Paul Woods in July 2010 in a row over his stolen booze.

The killer, then aged just 19, attacked Mr Woods in Glasgow after he tried to retrieve his off-licence alcohol from Murray’s friend.

She was jailed in 2011 after admitting culpable homicide, but photos of the shameless mum have now appeared on social media following her release, the Daily Record reported.

Murray is shown clutching cans of Dragon Soop, a controversial brew popular with teens that is fortified with schnapps and contains high levels of caffeine.

On a Facebook page set up last month and using her name, Murray poses in a string of pictures guzzling cans of alcohol.

A comment in her name on a photo posted on social media that shows Murray and a pal reads: “Lovin life ahaha.”

The Facebook page states she’s living in Glasgow and single.

In another post on the social media site in Murray’s name and featuring photos of her, there are boasts about drinking, being “stoned oot mah nut” and “fleeeinnn ooot wer nuts”.

One message in her name said: “Jst gettin stoned gawny head hame soon heavy f*****.”

A New Year’s post on another Facebook page told how she was trying to stay off booze.

Days earlier, she described waking up on the floor and going anywhere there was a “party”.

Last year, it was reported that Murray had become pregnant during a prison work placement.

She had reportedly sneaked away from a charity shop for sex, causing uproar among prison bosses at Cornton Vale.

And in February 2016, we told how Murray enjoyed a Valentine’s date with her ex-con fiance while on day release from the Stirling prison.

She took advantage of her jaunt to hook up with lover Ashleigh Bonny.

Bonny then posted pictures of herself with Murray on Facebook and told friends they had been together on one of her “home leaves”.

Murray was on probation at the time she killed Paul outside an off-licence. She had been binging on a cocktail of Buckfast, cider and Valium.

Paul, 29, had been watching a Celtic game at a pub and had a carry-out in a plastic bag.

Murray’s friend Chelsea Speirs marched up to him and asked, “What’s that you’ve got there?”, then grabbed the bag and walked off after a struggle.

Paul went to chase after Speirs but Murray punched him to the ground.

She then got on a bus, leaving her victim for dead.

Paul, who had hit his head on the pavement, died in hospital the next day from bleeding on the brain.

When judge Lord Pentland jailed Murray, he told her she’d taken the life of “a young man with a loving partner and two young children”.

He sentenced her to six years and nine months and said she should be supervised for three years and three months after her release.

Speirs got two years and three months for assault and robbery.

Appeal court judges later reduced Murray’s sentence to four-and-a-half years.

She served just two-and-a-half years before being given early release. But she broke the terms of her licence and was returned to prison early in 2014.

It’s understood Murray has been out of prison for several months.

She could not be contacted for comment last night.
