Mum's horror as 15-year-old daughter's Facebook party sees 100 youths turn up to wreck home, smash TV and bottle cops

Police were called to the property and found 100 unruly teens spilling onto the street who started hurling bottles at cops.

They had earlier trashed the Lincoln house, causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.

The furious mum, who was working hundreds of miles away at the time, returned to find total carnage in her home after the party was advertised on Facebook.

She said: "I'm horrified. I was totally unaware my daughter was going to have a party.

"She had been staying at her grandmother's but came back on Saturday afternoon.

"The dining room ceiling came down, my TV was smashed and my bed was broken.

"I've had to hire a skip to clear out everything that was damaged and start again.

"It's a good job I own my own house, because if it was rented, I'd be evicted by now."

On Saturday evening, furious neighbours called 999 as the wild party spiralled out of control.

One resident Chris Sellors said: "The whole street was full of teenagers.

"The police came and kids were throwing full bottles at them but in 10 minutes the police had corralled them.

"I must say we didn't feel threatened – it was just one of those surreal things that happen."

Another neighbour, Courtney Smith, 22, said: "I got in at about 6pm on Saturday and the music was banging out.

"I put my little boy to bed at about 7pm and then I went to bed but we were woken by the noise and I was not best pleased.

"There were a lot of kids in the street and the police came.

"They had bottles thrown at them. We just wondered what was going on.

"It's normally really quiet around here. I don't think anything like this will ever happen again – I hope not."

Pat Toulson, 60, said "I could hear the noise when I was watching television, and went outside to see what was going on.

"There were kids everywhere. There was glass everywhere in the road too.

"Then the police turned up and they blocked off the road.

"I have lived here 33 years and we have never had anything like this.

"You don't expect that sort of thing to happen here. It's disgusting.

"Some of the police were sweeping the roads because there was so much glass."

Another resident, who did not wish to be named, said "I heard loud music, I looked out and there were kids everywhere. It's not what you expect.

"It was really rowdy. It was a party that got out of hand."

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: "Our officers attended Chedworth Road in Lincoln after receiving reports of 20 youths drinking and throwing bottles on the ground. This was at 9.05pm on Saturday, November 17.

"On arrival we found over 100 youths at a house party without any adult presence.

"The youths spilled out into the street and began throwing bottles at our officers.

"We would like to remind parents to talk with their children about the consequences of attending this type of youth only house party."

Inspector Simon Outen, community patrol inspector for Lincoln North, said: “Party season is about to begin and parents have responsibility for their children, knowing where they are and the consequences of them attending house parties.

“If police are called, we will not tolerate violence towards officers or anyone else and if their children engage in such activity, then they can expect to either attend custody to collect them, or a knock on the door from officers to arrest them subsequently for the part that they have played in any disorder."

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested and released under investigation for a public order offence.
