Mum found dead next to baby son was 'stalked by The Reaper and sent chilling death threat texts'

Kristie Powell, 39, was discovered with multiple stab injuries to her head and body alongside her five-month-old boy at her home in New South Wales, Australia.

Cops said her devastating wounds had been caused by a sharp object and have launched a murder investigation.

On Facebook, dog walker Kristie spoke of how she was being harassed by a man who was “obsessed” with her, the Mirror reports.

According to a message she sent to a friend on the social media site, the alleged stalker’s comments would include: “Die Kristie Die”.

She added: “He became obsessed with me and for some reason he is still obsessed.”

Kristie also said the man referred to himself as “The Reaper” and sent up to 100 messages a day.

She told a friend: “He is mentally unwell and. I have contacted police about him on a few occasions, but there is nothing they can really do as he is considered non-threatening.”

Detectives are searching for Bhanu Kirkman, 29, in relation to Kristie’s death.

Bhanu is described as being of Indian and Sub-Continental appearance, about 5ft 9ins tall, with a large build and black hair.

He is known to frequent the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Sydney areas using the train network.

Kristie was a well-known volunteer and dog foster carer for Wollongong Animal Rescue Network, a job that had landed her in hot water with the local council.

In February 2015, she vented on social media about complaints that had been received regarding her dogs.

“If you have an issue with me come and see me and speak to me directly and that way I can fix the issue instead of dobbing on me and trying to get me into trouble, you little coward,” Kristie wrote.

Her Facebook page documents how she searched for 22 years for a partner to have children with, but gave up and decided to try for her “very own perfect little prince”.

“So after 22 years of dating & meeting many many many suitors that didn’t suit I’m excited to announce that I’m now making my very own perfect little prince who will love me & stay with me forever … (who) is due to join the world in a few months time,” Kristie wrote.

“I can’t thank my beautiful family & friends enough for their ongoing loving & encouraging support! I wouldn’t be able to do this without you!”
