Monday's UK weather forecast — Brits set for a wet and cloudy start to the week

Scotland and parts of the north will see an increased likelihood of snowfall which could lead to a distributed start to the week.

UK weather forecast for 6am on Monday

The UK will see patchy frost on Monday morning, especially for those across central and eastern parts of the country.

Monday will be wet to begin with, however rain will slowly clear, leaving wintry showers over parts of Scotland.

The north of the UK will experience quite strong winds however will begin to clear up, with drier and brighter weather in the afternoon.

It will however, stay damp in other parts of the country, especially in London and the southeast.

UK outlook for Friday 8 Feb 2019 to Sunday 17 Feb 2019

Weather towards the end of the week will remain unsettled, with a more organised band of cloud and moving east during Friday.

The rest of the weekend will see heavy rain clear leaving a mix of sunshine and showers especially in the north and west.

Showers are likely to turn wintry over higher ground.

Unsettled weather is likely to continue into the following week with spells of wet and windy weather to be expected and perhaps some hill snow in the north.

Temperatures are likely to fluctuate day-to-day however will be milder overall.

UK outlook for Monday 18 Feb 2019 to Monday 4 Mar 2019

The end of February is uncertain however will most likely be slightly wetter, especially across the south of the UK.

Some strong winds are also to be expected as February draws to a close.

Conditions will be drier than average in the north of the country, although some coastal showers are likely.

Temperatures overall will be around the average with a low likelihood of widely cold conditions developing.
