Man asked nurse ‘to kill mother of his child’ before Kelsey Berreth vanished

The nurse being investigated for her role in the disappearance of a Colorado mom allegedly told a friend about how a man “had asked her to kill the mother of his child,” according to a new report.

An Idaho couple told KMVT Wednesday that an employee of theirs, who was best friends with the nurse — who’s been identified as Krystal Lee — came to them visibly upset last October.

Lee had reportedly told her friend that a man wanted her to kill the mother of his child. It’s unclear what Lee’s relationship with the man was.

Joe and Patty Rockstahl recounted to the outlet how their employee told Lee to “forget the whole thing.”

When the couple heard about the Nov. 28 disappearance of mom of one Kelsey Berreth, 29, they called the FBI with the information about the conversation between their employee and Lee.

They didn’t alert the authorities when their employee first came to them because they didn’t have enough information and it was all second-hand, they said.

“If we could’ve just gotten the police to call or drive by and say, ‘Are you thinking of killing someone?’ that would’ve stopped it,” said Joe Rockstahl. “We wouldn’t be here. We wouldn’t have all of this going on.”

Within four days of their conversation with the FBI, Berreth’s fiancé, Patrick Frazee, was arrested.

Frazee — who shares a daughter with Berreth — is charged in connection with her possible death and is accused of trying to find someone to kill her on three separate occasions.

Police said they don’t believe Kelsey is alive, but her body hasn’t been found.
