A stunning mansion on the shores of Lake Tahoe is set to become the area’s most expensive ever sale after hitting the market for a record-breaking $76 million.
The sprawling Nevada estate known as Old Forge is located across five acres on the prestigious Lakeshore Boulevard in Incline Village.
And with the likes of NFL star Aaron Rodgers and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg all snapping up real estate in the area, the property has been described as a ‘generational’ opportunity.
But with an asking price of $76 million it is out of reach for most and could overtake a sale in 2013 for $48 million as the most expensive sale in the Tahoe Bay area.

As well as ample outdoor space, the property boasts seven ensuite bedrooms, an eight seater media room, bar and games room.
It also comes with an additional 1,500 square foot guest house which houses three of the bedrooms.
Originally built in 1994, Old Forge is the creation of disgraced casino mogul Steve Wynn, former chairman of Wynn Resorts.
Wynn made his fortune in the gambling world and expressed his taste for luxury in his designs for his famous Las Vegas casinos including the Bellagio, Golden Nugget ant The Mirage.
He was forced to step down from his chairman role amid a workplace sexual misconduct scandal.
He admitted no wrongdoing but ended a years long dispute casino regulator by agreeing to pay a $10 million fine and cut ties to the industry he helped shape in Las Vegas.
The property was sold to a trust four years after Wynn built it for $17 million and was most recently sold in 2017 for $31 million, less than half the current asking price, according to SF Gate.
Christine Perry, luxury real estate agent with Christie’s International Real Estate Sereno told the outlet: ‘Properties like this are generational and rarely become available.’
Over the last few years the home has undergone significant renovations, including a new patio area and the installation of a second kitchen.
But for any water sports fans, the real appeal lies outside the property in the form of the private pier leading to an exclusive 200 feet stretch of beach and raised jet ski platform.
And after a tough day on the water, the lucky buyer can look forward to enjoying a relaxing drink in the home’s wine room and wet bar.

The Nevada beauty spot has long been popular with the upper echelons of society owing to its seclusion and stunning backdrop.
Other high rollers to have purchased in the area include Oracle founder Larry Ellison and tech billionaire David Duffield.
Perry added: ‘Someone who is familiar with this area of Lake Tahoe will understand that the privacy, prestige and endless possibilities offered by this type of estate may not become available again for another 10 or 20 years.’
After Old Forge, the second-most expensive home listing was Crystal Pointe, which hit the market for $49.5 million in June, following a $75 million listing in 2017 the most expensive at that time.
