Kanye West on Monday submitted paperwork to appear on the Missouri ballot in November — and he’s also making a last ditch effort to run for president in delegate-rich New York, The Post has learned.
According to the Kansas City Star, West’s independent presidential campaign delivered signatures to the Missouri Secretary of State just ahead of a 5 p.m. deadline.
Officials now need to verify that the signatures came from at least 10,000 registered voters in order for West to make it on the ballot.
The 43-year-old rapper would need 30,000 valid signatures by Thursday to make it on the Empire State ballot — and he’s been working to make that happen, according to a congressional candidate.
Josh Eisen, who is seeking to run on an independence line for the 17th congressional district in Hudson Valley, said West is paying his team of canvassers to help him out.
Eisen said he’s not personally taking money from West for the petitioning, though his backers are.
“They were very generous,” Eisen said of West’s team. “As good as one should expect from an extroverted preacher. And more. My canvassers should do well.”
An independent party nominating petition for West shows him attempting to run on his newly-fledged “Birthday Party” line, with Michelle Tidball, a Cody, Wyoming-based “biblical life coach,” as his Vice President.
“I never thought I’d be helping facilitate ballot access for Kanye West,” Eisen quipped.
The Chicago-born sneaker mogul suddenly announced on July 4 that he intended to throw his hat in the ring against both President Trump and Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election.
Despite his late entry into the race — and a rambling first campaign speech in South Carolina that sparked concern over his mental health — West seems serious about his White House bid.
Earlier this month, he filed the $35,000 fee to appear on the Nov. 3 ballot in Oklahoma and Statement of Organization paperwork with the Federal Election Commission.
West’s troubled mental state has been on full view over the last weeks, with a series of concerning tweets, that have likely been the result of his bipolarism, according to his wife, Kim Kardashian.
The 21-Grammy winning rapper reportedly visited a Wyoming hospital for anxiety over the weekend after publicly apologizing to Kardashian for spiraling on Twitter.
