The police helped protect the MP and his family after they were ambushed outside their London home yesterday.
But the Tory backbencher mocked them as “disorganised, unpunctual and short-lived”.
A video posted to Facebook by the group shows veteran anarchist Ian Bone heckling Mr Rees-Mogg’s young kids, asking how much their nanny is paid.
In front of a banner reading “we must devastate the avenues where the wealthy live”, he told the children: "Daddy doesn't pay her very much! Daddy says the minimum wage doesn't count for anything!”
He added: "Poor Nanny Crook who looks after you and wipes your bottom, she doesn't get enough money every week – daddy doesn't care!"
Veronica Crook, who has worked for the family for more than 50 years, then appeared on the doorstep of the £5million house in Westminster to defend Mr Rees-Mogg.
She can be heard insisting she was "very happy", calling her boss "wonderful" and adding: "He's got an apartment down here for me."
After speaking with the protesters Mr Rees-Mogg adds: “I think we’ll go inside now.”
Mr Bone then shouted that “we’ll be back every week we’re not going away”, to which the MP’s wife Helena de Chair replied: “Neither are we.”
And speaking to The Sun, Mr Rees-Mogg dismissed the stunt, saying: “It was a small protest by anarchists which not surprisingly was disorganised, unpunctual and short lived.”
It is not the first time he has been targeted by anarchist protesters, after The Sun revealed vandals stuck a purple sex toy to the bonnet of his wife’s car and painted “scum” on it last month.
An event he attended at a university back in February was marred by scuffles between protesters chanting “fascist scum” and his supporters after he was branded a "Nazi" and a "racist".
And angry protesters stormed a Tory party conference event he was speaking at in Manchester last year, accusing him of advocating policies which are “ruining people’s lives”.
Last night’s protest by Class War, who also shared an image calling Mr Rees-Mogg a “slave owner” on their Facebook page, drew anger from MPs across the political spectrum.
Labour former Cabinet minister Yvette Cooper tweeted: "Leave the kids out of it.
"Don’t care what your views on Jacob Rees-Mogg, it is disgraceful to target his family, and shameful when politics becomes personal abuse.
"Children and family are never fair game."
Labour MP for Newcastle North Catherin McKinnell tweeted: “Disagree with Jacob Rees-Mogg, disagree with his views and ideas, but children and families should never be the target of political protest. Never.”
Her colleague David Lammy posted: “There is no justification for intimidating children and family members of politicians like this.
“This isn't the first time I've had to say this in relation to Jacob's family either. We are better than this.”
Tory MP Anna Soubry said: “Disgraceful behaviour. More evidence of how low our politics have sunk.”
And the Tory MEP Daniel Hannan said: "A Leftist mob ambushes Mogg on his doorstep, shouting at his young children: 'Your daddy's a totally horrible person, lots of people hate your daddy'.
"What is happening to this country, for the love of God?"
But the group were unrepentant for dragging the MP’s kids into the protest, replying to another comment on the video: “Like Jacob Rees-Mogg gives a single f*** about our kids? F*** off….”
