The Portuguese town hosts one of the two big waves surfing contests in the world, as waves reach up to 98 feet in the winter time.
Die-hard surfers said the titanic waves may even be the biggest ever seen in the area.
The extreme surfer stays on his board as he tackles the furious wave.
Rodrigo broke the world record for largest wave ever surfed at Nazare, Portugal, in November 8, 2017.
