A terrified grandmother has described how a man wearing nothing but a backpack repeatedly approached her on a beach.
The 76-year-old claims the naked man wandered up to her on several occasions as she was trying to relax and read her Kindle.
She eventually confronted him at the Teesside coastal beauty spot and said: "What do you think you are doing?"
The pensioner, who reported the incident to the police, has now been left too afraid to return.
She told Teesside Live how the ‘flasher’ appeared to stalk her at the Skinningrove beach, getting ‘closer and closer’ to her.
She has no idea what his intentions were.
“When he first did it I sat there and thought ‘just go away’,” she said.
“But when he persisted that was quite nasty.”
The gran said how fond she is of the beach and how she enjoys taking in the scenery and watching the sea roll while she reads.
“I went along on Saturday and found myself a nice rock to sit on with my Kindle, I was very happy,” she said.
She added that she could see a man approaching in the distance, but initially thought nothing of it.
It was only when he got nearer she began to worry.
“As he got closer and closer I thought something was quite strange, then I realised he had nothing on except his backpack," she said.
Luckily, there was another man walking his dogs on the beach, so she headed over to chat to him until the ‘flasher’ disappeared.
The coast seemed to be clear and she headed back to her rock, only for the man to return – this time approaching from behind her.
“I hadn’t been sat very long when he approached from the other side, from the rear," the grandmother recalled.
“He was obviously hanging about waiting to see what I would do next,” she claimed.
“Whether he was just coming to flash I don’t know.
“He was determined, he had three goes.”
After managing to get to safety, the brave pensioner, who did not wish to be named, said she saw the man put his trunks on.

She described how she later confronted the man when other people arrived on the beach.
“I went up to him and said, ‘What do you think you are doing?’" she said.
“He put his head down, turned around and walked away.”
The woman said she had reported the incident to police, but said she’s now scared of returning to one of her favourite places.
“It’s kind of put me off now, which is a shame because it’s a delightful place," she said.
She added that the man looked like a hiker, was possibly in his 60s and was bald with glasses.
