Fergie’s very relatable comment about her stomach at daughter Eugenie’s wedding

Although occasion outfits may look lovely, we all know they can come with pitfalls.

And at Princess Eugenie’s wedding yesterday, mother of the bride Sarah Ferguson and her eldest daughter Princess Beatrice were seen discussing their dresses.

Dressed in a vibrant green number by local Windsor company Emma Louise Design, Fergie, 58, reportedly told Beatrice: "My stomach, can’t hold my stomach in."

In response, the 30-year-old princess, wearing a royal blue outfit by Ralph and Russo, said: "Mine is OK as I’m wearing a corset," according to lipreader Tina Lannin.

The pair then shared a small giggle, MailOnline reports.

The Duchess of York teamed her green dress with a vintage Manolo Blahnik bag, carried by her late mum Susan Barrantes at her 1986 wedding to the Duke of York.

She also wore a wide-brimmed hat with ‘wings’ – which some TV viewers watching the wedding in Windsor, Berkshire, compared to the golden snitch from Harry Potter.

It is thought to have been a creation of milliner Jess Collett.

Meanwhile, maid of honour Beatrice donned a headband-style hat by Sarah Cant.

The pair’s discussion about their dresses occurred as they waited for Eugenie to arrive at St George’s Chapel to marry her 32-year-old long-term partner, Jack Brooksbank .

Eugenie, 28, and drinks executive Jack wed at the same 15th Century chapel at Windsor Castle that was chosen by Prince Harry and Meghan for their nuptials five months ago.

At the second royal wedding of the year, the bride and groom were joined by 800 guests.

Eugenie donned a stunning Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos bridal gown that showed off her scoliosis scar, as well as towering Charlotte Olympia peep-toe heels.

But despite the heels – and her long train – she still managed to perform an impressive curtsy to the Queen inside the chapel, while holding on to her groom’s hand.

Jack, meanwhile, was seen bowing his head.

The pair exchanged their vows in front of a star-studded congregation, including the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and dozens of other members of the royal family.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, returning to the church where they wed on May 19, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were also in attendance.

Meanwhile, little Prince George and Princess Charlotte were part of the young bridal party.

Celebrities included Hollywood actresses Liv Tyler and Demi Moore, supermodels Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, and singers Ricky Martin, Ellie Goulding and James Blunt.

Actor Stephen Fry and artist Tracey Emin were also among the guests – as was pop star Robbie Williams, who reportedly leaped on the stage at the wedding after-party last night.

Robbie, 44, was joined at the ceremony by his actress wife Ayda Field, with the couple’s adorable six-year-old daughter, Teddy, chosen to be one of Eugenie’s bridesmaids.

After tying the knot, the newlyweds waved to well-wishers during a carriage procession through Windsor, before heading to an afternoon reception hosted by the Queen.

Around 850 guests reportedly tucked into finger food and wedding cake, washed down with Pol Roger champagne, with dozens of wine glasses seen scattered on tables.

The Duke of York was said to have given a traditional father-of-the-bride speech, which apparently included a joke about Jack once mistaking himself for the family dog.

He also spoke of his pride in "Team Eug and Jack".

Later, Jack drove his bride away from the castle in style – with a silver DB10 Aston Martin sports car – before they continued their celebrations at the ‘wild’ evening do.

The event was held at the York family home, Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, with guests said to have downed Casamigos Tequila and champagne throughout the night.

The royal family yesterday expressed gratitude to all those who enjoyed the wedding.

They said via Twitter : "Thank you to everyone for watching and joining in with the #RoyalWedding celebrations – Congratulations once again to the happy couple!"

Today, Eugenie and Jack are continuing their wedding celebrations at a “festival-themed” party in Windsor Castle’s grounds, complete with a fairground and food stalls.

The "more relaxed" festivities are expected to last all day.
