Elderly woman beaten, robbed on Christmas morning

A creep forced his way into an elderly woman’s Brooklyn apartment and beat her as she lay in bed while demanding money during a Christmas morning home invasion, police sources said.

“Where’s the money!” the thug yelled as he pushed into the 88-year-old victim’s home in Coney Island’s NYCHA Haber Houses around 7 a.m., sources said.

The brute rifled through the senior’s dresser drawers and jewelry box, and at one point stood over her in bed, pummeling her face and body, sources said.

When the elder let out a scream, the crook ran out of the 14th-floor apartment, according to sources.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether he made off with anything in the robbery bid.

The victim, whose name is being withheld by The Post, then activated her Life Alert personal alarm, sending first responders rushing to the West 25th Street building, sources said.

She was treated at Coney Island Hospital.

Police are combing the building for surveillance footage of the suspect, described as a man in his 40s, standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 200 pounds.
