Incredible footage of four jet skis being chased along the River Thames by police has shocked Londoners.

Marine police confirmed the pursuit was genuine and came to an end after speeding riders zipped past the Isle of Dogs
Scotland Yard’s marine police unit wrote on Twitter:
‘Officers pursued four jet skis this evening after reports that they were speeding down the River Thames. The jet skis were approaching central London.’
The clip showed skiers managed to escape without landing in hot, or murky, water for their antics, as they zipped around Canary Wharf and past the Isle of Dogs.
‘The decision was taken to no longer pursue the jet skis for safety reasons,’ marine police added.
The use of boats on the Thames is strictly monitored for safety reasons and wildlife protection.

No license is needed to ride a jet ski in the UK.

Famously, Pierce Brosnan starred in a similar boat chase along the Thames in James Bond 007 thriller The World Is Not Enough in 1999.
‘London’s becoming like a Police Academy movie,’ wrote an anonymous Twitter user.
Another tweeted, ‘This is just missing the James Bond theme music.’
