Dozens of travellers have invaded a south east London recreation ground, prompting police to take action.
An army of caravans pulled up to Willett Recreation Ground in Bromley at around 9pm on Monday, August 13.

Some travellers had this morning already set up clothing lines and children’s slides outside their trailers.
London Metropolitan Police are now working with Bromley Council to move the travellers on as soon as possible, News Shopper reported.

Kate Lymer, Portfolio Holder for Public Protection and Enforcement for Bromley Council, said: ‘We are obviously aware of the illegal encampment in Willett Recreation Ground which occurred late on Monday.
‘We are now in the process of taking the necessary action, liaising with the police, to bring this incursion to an end as soon as possible.’
