Dog the Bounty Hunter was in denial about late wife Beth Chapman’s cancer, Dog’s Most Wanted show reveals

DOG the Bounty Hunter was in denial about the cancer that killed his beloved wife Beth.

It’s been revealed that Dog struggled to accept his spouse might not beat the disease.

Beth died in June of this year aged just 51 after an 18-month battle with throat cancer.

Dog has been left crushed by this and recently admitted his life has fallen apart since.

But a new episode of Dog’s Most Wanted, filmed while Beth was still alive, suggests he believed his beloved wife would survive.

Beth says: "Dog just thinks a miracle is going to happen.

"He's in serious denial."

Dog was hospitalised over the weekend due to a heart emergency, but was released on Monday night, according to TMZ.

The 66-year-old's chest pains were reportedly related to stress and high blood pressure, which he hopes to combat with a healthy diet.

An angiogram was performed and it came back as normal, a source claimed.

His team said in a statement: "Dog is back at home and resting comfortably.

"He is overwhelmed by the support of fans and friends from around the world, and is deeply touched by the outpouring of prayers, love, and encouragement.

"While he is following doctor's orders and taking time to heal, he wants everyone to follow DOG'S ORDERS and watch Dog's Most Wanted Wednesday night on WGN America."

Medics were monitoring the star and were assessing whether he will need surgery.
