The 30-year-old admitted resisting arrest and assaulting a bouncer and was fined £2,000 at Jersey Magistrates' Court following an early-hours spat outside a nightclub.
The shamed fly-half had tried to leave The Little Drift nightclub in St Helier with two drinks but got into an argument with a bouncer.
Cipriani became verbally and physically abusive and pushed the doorman after he turned on his body camera.
The pair tussled outside the venue and the doorman called the cops following the incident at 1am on Wednesday.
Cipriani then grabbed a female officer by the collar as she tried to arrest him and shouted "get the f*** off me".
She fell to the ground when he tried to wriggle out of handcuffs and the officer was left with a bruised neck.
He spent two nights in the cells and was today fined £1,500 for resisting arrest and £500 for assault. He was also ordered to pay £250 compensation to the injured cop.
He was originally charged with common assault, resisting arrest, larceny and being disorderly on licensed premises – but the last two charges were dropped.
Moments after the incident, Cipriani was said to have told cops: “These wrists are gold, loosen the cuffs."
Sam Morris, prosecuting, said he was in town with rugby teammates and trouble erupted when he tried to take his drinks outside.
She told the court: "The bouncer stopped him and Cipriani became verbally abusive. He pushed him and became physically abusive.
''The doorman then activated his body camera which angered him further. He then grabs him again and tries to pull the camera off his body.
"The bouncer contacted police officers nearby and said he wanted to make a formal complaint of assault."
The court heard he then pushed the unnamed female officer in the chest area and was holding on to her collar and shirt.
Ms Morris added: "He was demanding to be let go and said 'get the f*** off me'.
"He was eventually restrained but still struggled and was taken to the police station."
The star – given a "last warning" over his behaviour by England coach Eddie Jones – was bundled into a police car and was put in custody before his court appearance at 10am.
Cipriani was at the nightclub with other players from Gloucester RFC as part of the club’s pre-season tour.
A witness alleged: “Cipriani was in a row after a big disagreement with a burly bouncer. The player wanted to take his drink outside, but wasn’t allowed.
“An argument broke out, and neither man backed down. Cipriani, looking unsteady on his feet, was detained. Police were called straightaway.”
The pin-up star was on a pub crawl with other players after his club staged an open training session with Jersey Reds RFC.
He ended up in the nightclub attached to The Royal Yacht spa hotel which overlooks St Helier’s harbour.
A source alleged: “The player was clearly sozzled and could be seen swaying around.
“He could clearly be heard saying, ‘These wrists are gold, loosen the cuffs’. It caused a bit of a laugh.
“When the police arrested him he was very relaxed.
“St Helier is like a small village and nothing happens here without everyone knowing.
“A few clubbers who watched the drama were die-hard England fans. Even as Cipriani was taken away, people were asking if it meant the end of his international career.”
The fly-half was welcomed back into the England fold in June after a ten-year absence following a series of disciplinary issues.
Picked for the tour of South Africa, Eddie Jones warned: “If he’s a good character he could be in the team for a long time. If he’s a bad character, there’s always a plane back from Johannesburg.”
After Tuesday’s open training session, Cipriani, in a grey t-shirt and black shorts, was pictured on social media posing with fans.
Gloucester Rugby’s official Twitter account posted: “Thank you to @jerseyrfc and your supporters for giving us such a warm welcome this evening and a great session on the pitch!”
Gloucester Rugby Club today said Cipriani is "very remorseful" following the incident and "fully accepts the outcome and his punishment".
CEO Stephen Vaughn said: "We are very proud of the culture we have within the group and the stated values which we strive to deliver against.
"Incidents of this nature are very disappointing to be associated with, and we will deal with it in a robust but balanced way but based purely on the facts.
“As a high profile sportsperson there is often a large degree of public and media scrutiny involved, which Danny is well aware of.
“The incident in question was over in a matter of seconds and was a reaction to the conduct of other parties involved.
“He knows his responsibilities and is aware of the impact of this type of incident on the club.
"However, Danny is a Gloucester Rugby player and will receive our full support as we focus on the exciting season ahead.”
Gloucester RFC stars were seen in Twitter snaps putting on life-jackets and taking to the water in a canoe team-bonding exercise yesterday afternoon while Cipriani was still in police custody.
The star, who joined Gloucester from Wasps earlier this summer, has made headlines for his off-the-pitch conduct throughout his career.
He counts TV star Kirsty Gallacher and models Kelly Brook and Katie Price as his ex-lovers.
Cipriani’s relationship with TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher ended in 2016 after six months as they struggled to cope with their 12-year age gap. A previous attempt to give things a go failed even sooner.
Cipriani gave Kirsty the push after struggling to cope with her being a single mum of two young kids, Oscar and Jude, with her ex-hubby, rugby ace Paul Sampson.
But Cipriani and the ex-Sky Sports host stayed in touch after their love affair – with rumours circling recently that they might reconcile.
In 2016 Cipriani was convicted of drink-driving and banned for 18 months.
Jersey Police told The Sun: “This afternoon, 30 year old Daniel Cipriani was charged with Common Assault, Larceny, Assault on Police, Resisting Arrest and Disorderly on Licenced Premises.
“Cipriani was arrested in the early hours of this morning following an incident in Mulcaster St in St Helier.”
