The maniac who shoved a man onto the subway tracks at the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall Street station Friday morning was caught on camera as he left the station, police said.
The suspect, described as a man in his twenties, is pictured in a photo released by the NYPD wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants.
He allegedly shoved 55-year-old Edwin Pinez — a complete stranger — onto the tracks of the northbound No. 6 train at about 7:45 a.m., police said.
Pinez could’ve been slammed by an oncoming train, but was helped off the tracks by straphangers waiting on the platform, authorities said.
Other commuters rushed to the end of the platform to halt a train before it barreled into the station.
Pinez escaped the ordeal with just a bloody lip, authorities said. He was taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital to and treated for the injury.
“I’m glad I’m alive,” Pinez told The Post as he was leaving the hospital, en route to another location to undergo surgery on the injury.
“I’m grateful for the people that helped me,” said Pinez. “A lot of nice people.”
