A man was arrested on Monday for allegedly gunning down a man in Queens last month, cops said.
Joshua Petillo, 23, of Queens was charged with murder, criminal use of a firearm and criminal possession of a weapon in connection to the June 30 slaying of 21-year-old Dante Sartillian, according to police.
Sartillian, who lived in the borough less than eight miles away from his accused killer, was shot in the chest on 40th Road in the neighborhood of Elmhurst at around 11:40 p.m., according to cops.
The victim was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital by private means, where he was pronounced dead.
Sartillian’s death came amid an ongoing surge of gun violence across the city.
