Appeal launched to overturn decision to clear legal firm Leigh Day of slurring Brit troops

The company had accused soldiers of torturing and murdering Iraqi detainees in 2004. A £31million inquiry in 2014 found the claims were “deliberate lies”. Last year Leigh Day was cleared by the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal. But yesterday the Solicitors Regulation Authority appealed that decision. Papers submitted
