London’s supercar season is hotting up as over £25million worth of Koenigseggs were delivered to wealthy customers in Sunningdale, Berkshire, yesterday.

The most expensive of the nine Swedish models was a black and gold ‘Naraya’, which is covered in 24 carat gold and worth around £6million.

Supercar season sees wealthy Arabs flee the scorching hot temperatures of the Middle East and cruise around London.

The arrival of the supercars has become a regular event in recent years, with rich Kuwaitis, Saudis and Emiratis seeking to out-do each other over who can own the most fancy sportscar.

The cars’ Arabs owners tend to ship their machines over in the months leading up to the summer, so they are here when they arrive in July and August.

The Koenigseggs – worth upwards of £1.5million each –  were yesterday parked outside the SuperVettura car dealership on London Road, which specialises in the luxury car brand.

The most expensive of the nine Swedish models seen yesterday was a black and gold Naraya (pictured), which was covered in 24 carat gold strips along the bonnet, roof and wings

The car was parked in Sunningdale, Berkshire, next to eight other models of Koenigseggs and is alone worth around £6million due to being limited edition

The Naraya features a blue-tinted clear-carbon finish to its bodywork, with extensive highlights striped in gold leaf on both the exterior and interior of the car

The gold leaf was applied by hand at the Koenigsegg factory in Angelholm, Sweden, by Ettore ‘Blaster’ Callegaro, a renowned craftsman from Italy

Mr Callegaro is noted for his work with customised cars and the process for these ones took two weeks, working 12 hour days, six days per week

The brand’s badge is a shield of the Koenigsegg coat of arms, which dates back to the 12th century when one family member was knighted by the Holy Roman Empire. The badge is seen on the CCX, Agera, Agera R, One:1, and Regera

The One:1 model (a black One:1 pictured yesterday) was the world’s first ‘megacar’ in 2015, with more than 1,300 horsepower

The One:1 (left with the lime green CCX) saw all six of its production models sold out before the car was officially released. They sold for around £1.9million
