X Factor’s Louis Tomlinson in tears as he reveals boys heading to live finals

Louis Tomlinson was moved to tears as he was forced to choose between the boys at Judges’ Houses.

Having taken the lads over to Ibiza for an epic audition sesh, he took them on quad bikes before introducing them to their judges: Liam Payne and Nile Rodgers.

Each singer took to the podium to give it their best, with finalists singing songs from everyone to Sinead O’Connor and the musical Dreamgirls.

Dalton Andre Harris, who came from Jamaica to perform after singing for a long time at home, sang Listen from Dreamgirls, which really hit Liam in the heart.

Armstrong Martins, who performed a High School Musical track in his first audition, performed I’ll Be There For You, which is the theme song from Friends.

Next was Thomas Pound, who first auditioned as drag star Lady Frieda Wilde, who performed One Night Only with pumping club soundtrack, before J-Sol performed Rihanna’s Love On the Brain.

Louis’ mate Anthony Russell was on next, who met his mentor during last year’s competition after he was forced to pull out over personal troubles.

He performed James’ Bay’s Scars to rave reviews, after which Brendan Murray performed Sinead O’Connor’s classic Nothing Compares to You.

It was a tough decision as Nile and Liam tried their best to counsel Louis through his decision-making, as the group looked over a series of polaroids laid out on their poolside table.

But it was down to Louis to reveal the boys who would be going through, and they chose Brendan, Dalton, Armstrong and, to his absolute delight, Anthony.

The Liverpudlian, who crashed out of last year’s competition, jumped up and down and grabbed his friend, smiling and crying as he told him how grateful he was.

Louis, who was as elated as Anthony, was moved to tears as he told Anthony the news, barely able to hold his emotions back as his friend shared his excitement.
