X Factor contestant Ivo Dimchev branded 'the most bizarre thing' by Louis Tomlinson

Ivo, 42, from Bulgaria, promised the judges that he would "push the boundaries" with his self-penned track Lucky Days.

Robbie Williams asked: "What the bloody hell does that mean," as Simon Cowell admitted that he liked Ivo's hair.

Ayda was more interested in the blond singer's tattoos, and asked him: "Have you got your nipples tattooed?"

During his audition, yodelling Ivo was joined on stage by a bevy of backing dancers who wore similar pink shirts and shorts.

But the fanfare didn't impress everyone, as One Direction singer Louis told him: "I've not been sat on this panel for a long time but that is the most bizarre thing I've seen.

"The vocal, the song. I'm definitely going to remember him but not for the right reasons."

But Simon disagreed and said: "There was something fascinating to me about the whole performance."

Robbie added: "I don't think people understand entertainment a lot of the time. I couldn't take my eyes off you.

"I would like to see you again. It's a yes from me."

Ivo coaxed a yes from Ayda and Simon, but Louis wasn't having it.

He said: "Some weird is OK, this is a bit too weird for me. Sorry, it's a no."

Elsewhere tonight, viewers were left emotional when transgender contestant Felix Shepherd sang Kodaline's hit All I Want.

The 20-year-old music student told Simon Cowell, Robbie Williams, Ayda Field and Louis Tomlinson his transition story, before nailing his performance of the Irish band's 2013 ballad.

Felix reassured the judges, saying: "I live a normal life. I’m here today to kind of prove people that I’m more than just a transgender guy.

"My name was Emily. In about year nine, I told a friend, I didn't really know what it was. But I thought, 'I've got to be who I am.'"
