Ayda and Robbie joined Simon Cowell as X Factor judges for the first time in 2018 along with Louis Tomlinson.
However, Robbie has announced the husband and wife team will not be coming back for another go at the ITV singing competition yet.
Robbie explained the reasons behind the decision in a post to Instagram.
He wrote to his 1.8m followers: “A quick update from Team Williams… it’s been a very busy year so far.
We’re gutted to tell you we won’t be able to return to The X Factor

“Vegas has been incredible and we cannot wait for June and July to do it all again.
“I’ve got the massive @BSTHydePark show on July 14 and I’ve written the lyrics and music for the #RSCBoyInDress show with @guyachambers – opening on November 8.
“As well as all this we’ve got some very big announcements coming soon – but we can’t reveal all yet.
“Sadly though it’s impossible to do everything … and we’re gutted to tell you we won’t be able to return to The X Factor this year.
“We will, however, be working on projects with Simon going forward – and as huge fans of the show, we will still be tuning into The X Factor, voting and winding Simon up…x.”
The winning act of the series was Dalton Harris who had Louis as a mentor.

Neither Ayda nor Robbie had one of their hopefuls make it through to the final as Simon’s act Scarlett Lee came second and Louis’ act Anthony Russell took third place.
The news of Robbie and Ayda’s departure comes after Simon has announced a shake—up in the X Factor format.
He confirmed earlier this year that there would be two versions of the programme airing back to back later this year.
The Sun reported there would be one celebrity edition and an all-star edition of the ITV show.
He told the publication back in February: “The time feels right, and it will be a huge change. We haven’t exactly confirmed the dates or the order of the shows, but essentially there are going to be two versions of X Factor running this year.
“I think it’s going to be huge, it’s the best I’ve felt about this show in years.”
With regard to the celebrity instalment, Simon has recently hinted David Walliams could be taking part.
Simon told The Mirror: “”In the same way Pete Waterman made Kylie and Jason musical stars, and what I did with Robson and Jerome, I’d like to think through the process we’ll find someone who can sell records rather than just doing the show as a stunt.
“I think David [Walliams] might enter. Seriously, that would be amazing.”
The X Factor is expected to return to ITV later this year.
