Who is Cassie Ventura?
Cassie, 32, is an American singer, dancer, actress and model.
Born in New London, Connecticut, she began her career as a result of meeting record producer Ryan Leslie in late 2004/
He then convinced Diddy to release Cassie's debut album on his bad Boy Records label.
Her self titled album was then released in August 2006, peaking at number four on the Billboard chart.
In 2008, Cassie released the single Official Girl featuring Lil Wayne.
In 2009, she released the singles Must Be Love featuring Diddy, and Let's Get Crazy featuring Akon, and signed a record deal with Interscope Records.
In April 2013, Cassie released her debut mixtape RockaByeBaby.
When did Cassie and Diddy break up?
Cassie had been in a long term relationship with rapper Diddy since 2007, although they didn't official confirm it until 2012.
But in October 2018 it was reported the couple had split – and had actually gone their separate ways months ago.
A source told PEOPLE, “the decision was amicable and they remain friends.”
“Cassie is going to focus on her music and acting career,” the source adds.
