A young girl left viewers crying as she recalled having to give her father CPR to keep in alive in a horrific ordeal.
Ruth called 999 handler Bryony Taylor at the Wiltshire emergency services after her father "dropped dead" in a shocking moment.
Her dad, Peter, had been to the gym and then said he was feeling unwell, after which he plummeted to the ground, leaving Ruth completely shocked.
She immediately called 999 and spoke to Bryony, and she explained that her father’s condition was so bad he was turning blue and purple and she had no idea how to help him.
Bryony, who admitted she was struggling to keep calm throughout the call, told Ruth to take him off the sofa and to start chest compressions, before talking her through keeping the rhythm going as the poor girl cried throughout.
Ruth said she couldn’t lift him, but then cut the call as she tried to drag him to the floor.
Bryony called her back in fear something bad was going to happen, as Ruth feared her father would die as she conducted CPR for four minutes, waiting for an ambulance to arrive.
Ruth kept crying as she continued the compressions, before the paramedics arrived to help her father, and viewers were left wondering if he pulled through.
Bryony said: "It’s very worrying, it’s just the not knowing. You want to know everything’s turned out alright and that she’ll have her dad for another 20, 30 years.
"You constantly analyse what happened in that call… I know it was very difficult for her as it was her father who was lying there… it always worries me if they think they’re to blame."
Ruth added: "I saw my dad die, there’s not much that can happen that’s worse, I think.
"It’s the worst thing that’s ever happened to me."
At this, viewers were shocked to see Peter speak, as he commended his daughter for her incredible actions, along with Bryony.
He said: "She was absolutely on her own so it must have been horrendous.
"Your dad has effectively dropped dead in front of you and you’re being told that his only hope of survival is to do CPR on him and that’s what she did."
Viewers shared their joy at Peter’s arrival on the show, and could not believe how incredible Bryony and Ruth were in saving him.
