What will Avengers 4 be called?
No official title has yet been released for Avengers 4.
Directors Anthony and Joe Russo have however ruled out "Infinity Gauntlet."
In October 2018, Mark Ruffalo allegedly "gave away" the title of the upcoming film during an appearance on the Jimmy Fallon show.
Ahead of the show airing, Mark tweeted: ‘@JimmyFallon, I trust that you will cut my spoiler slip on the show tonight. That was “off the record” homey. Please don’t get me in trouble with Marvel (Barry) again. DM me back. M.’
During the recording, he "revealed" the title, but it was bleeped out, with a black box censoring his mouth.
After the Russo Brothers then revealed a cryptic image on Twitter to announce they'd wrapped production on Avengers 4, Mark responded in an effort to undermine the two.
The film will form part two of Infinity War which was released in the UK on April 26, 2018.
They have teased that Comicbook.com's guess of "Avengers: Forever" is the closest anyone has got to getting it right so far.
In an interview with Uproxx, Joe Russo also confirmed that Avengers 4's title is not taken directly from any dialogue in Infinity War.
This, therefore, rules out the fan theory of Avengers: Endgame.
When will Avengers 4 be released in the UK?
Avengers 4 will be released in the UK on April 26, 2019 – exactly a year on from Infinity War.
This will be followed by a US release on May 3, 2019.
Before Infinity War is released there will be two more Marvel films.
Ant-Man And The Wasp was released in August 2018 and Captain Marvel will come out in early 2019.
What characters will be in Avengers 4?
Despite the massacre at the end of Infinity War, most of the characters are expected to return in Avengers 4.
Those who survived Thanos' mass killing will definitely return: Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Okoye (Danai Gurira), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) War Machine (Don Cheadle), Nebula (Karen Gillan) Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans) and Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper).
Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) is also expected to return, along with The Wasp (Evangeline Lilly) and Michelle Pfeiffer (the other Wasp).
Thanos (Josh Brolin) will also be back as well as Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner).
Hawkeye, who was notable for being the only one of the original Avengers to be absent from Infinity War, may have been replaced by the lone samurai Ronin.
What theories are there for the plot of Avengers 4?
The film will follow directly on from Infinity War but will depart even further from the original Marvel comics.
One fan theory was that Avengers 4 might have something to do with the invasion of earth by Skrull aliens which happens in the comic books.
Speculation of a time-travel plot seems more probable since many characters were killed at the end of Infinity War including Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch and Doctor Strange.
Fans were also wondering whether Adam Warlock from the comics would make an appearance but the Russo brothers have also blasted this theory.
